We know it's hard to expect the unexpected. The costs of emergency veterinary treatment can be a hard pill to swallow. We believe that it is unfair that a pet should have to face euthanasia due to the financial constraints associated with the treatment for a recoverable condition. This is why our amazing staff created the Newberry Animal Hospital Compassionate Care Fund for current patients of one of our hospitals.

The Newberry Animal Hospital Compassionate Care Fund is a 501c3 non-profit charity created by the employees of Newberry Animal Hospital to provide pet owners financial assistance to use towards life-saving veterinary treatment if they cannot afford the total cost of services for their pet. 

ELIGIBILITY

Financial assistance through the NAH Compassionate Care Fund is provided on a case-by-case basis. Assistance is determined by our eligibility committee after one of our doctors has done a complete exam and submitted their findings.

  • Our veterinarian(s) physical exam findings and medical recommendations

  • Severity of the pet's condition

  • Pet's prognosis if medical treatment is provided

  • Pet owner's eligibility for and usage of Care Credit & Scratch Pay

WHAT CONDITIONS MIGHT BE COVERED?

Life-threatening conditions may include but are not limited to:

  • Urinary blockages

  • Car accidents

  • Wound or laceration repairs

  • Toxin ingestion

  • Abscesses

  • & more

HOW CAN I DONATE TO THE NAH COMPASSIONATE CARE FUND?

100% of donations made to the NAH Compassionate Care Fund directly assist the treatment of the pets in need of immediate care. Donations can be made via card, cash, or check at any of our locations or through the links below.

The Newberry Animal Hospital Compassionate Care Fund's 501(c)(3) exemption status is held and maintained by the Veterinary Care Foundation. All donations made to the NAH Compassionate Care Fund are tax deductible.
